Since each individual is unique, so is each behavioral plan, which includes a thorough assessment with programs and treatment schedules specifically targeted and developmentally appropriate for each person or group.
Virtus' therapy involves continuing assessment and measurement so that we can ensure that development is progressing and goals are being achieved. Please contact us today to discuss how Virtus can care for you.

Virtus' approach to ABA
Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of the principles of learning and motivation from Behavior Analysis, and the procedures and technology derived from those principles to solve challenges of social significance. Many decades of research have validated treatments based on ABA. Virtus applies behavior analysis methods to touch lives and improve the human condition.
Virtus utilizes ABA methods to treat autism in several ways:
To positively affect behavior (reinforcement procedures increase on-task behavior and social interactions);
To teach new skills (systematic instruction and reinforcement procedures teach functional life skills, communication skills, and social skills);
To reinforce and maintain functional behavior (teaching self control and self-monitoring procedures to maintain and generalize personal, job-related, and social skills);
To generalize or transfer behavior from one situation or response to another (from completing assignments at home to completing work in the mainstream classroom);
To restrict or narrow conditions under which interfering behaviors occur (identifying and eliminating environmental or situational conflicts); and
To reduce interfering behaviors (self injury, destructive actions, or stereotype).
While ABA is an objective discipline, Virtus uses the science for personal application. Our approach is relational and meaningful. By leveraging the science of reliable measurement and objective evaluation of observable behavior, Virtus produces patient-specific, active, goal-oriented application to make a difference and touch lives.
